Configuring Security Settings for External Web services

This topic describes the procedure to set the security permissions to access external Web services.

To access an external Web service from the local intranet zone, you need to change the security settings of your browser.

1. In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options. The Internet Options dialog box is displayed.
   
2. Click the Security tab, and click the Local Intranet zone.
   
3. Under Security level for the zone, click Custom Level. The Security Settings dialog box is displayed.
   
4. Under the Miscellaneous section, select Enable or Prompt for Access data sources across domains option.
   
5. Click OK and Apply the changes.
